My partner took our car for the annual service and he received a phone call from auto masters couple of hours after he left the car to be informed that the cost to fix the issue with the car is about $7000 , but the cost to fix major issues is about $1700 which we were never given a details price and we agreed verbally as we thought we could trust them. When we picked up the car they refused giving us the invoice with detailed pricing which was very strange for me.I talked to someone I knew and showed him the invoice to only found out that not only they over charged us but also they used none genuine parts without getting our opinion on that and we charged for a non genuine part more than what a genuine part is worth.Below some of the issues are listed:• Charged $495 for the none-genuine thermostat housing part only, while the genuine Holden part No. 25192230 price is $459.70 from NAPA auto parts. On the other hand also the none genuine price for DAYCO brand part No. DTKIT158Q from Repco Ellenbrook is quoted for $206 and the Tridon brand from Veals auto parts is $209.• As it had been confirmed by your recent email, the labour cost to replace the thermostat housing was one hour at the price of $130. While I have been charged an extra $165 for the coolant flush. Its however a question why this extra charge was occurred when changing the thermostat can obviously cause loosing the old coolant and what else needed after fitting the thermostat was filling up the cooling system with the new coolant. As per the quote, the pre-mix 5Lit RED coolant at Repco is $25 only.Given the aforementioned issues, it begs the question of the total amount I have been charged and the loosing the initial trust I had to bring my vehicle to your workshop make me wonder if the jobs mentioned in the invoice have actually ever been done.We took the matter to consumer protection but because they record your voice when they give you a price on the phone, we couldn’t get anywhere.Make sure if you want to take your car to this place you get the written quote first and ask all the questions as I didn’t find them honest.

I had the car taken in for a service. The mechanic that worked on it was very passionate. Showed me a few things that he had sorted for me. It also helped that he was an admirer of my car. Definitely made me feel good. I’ll ask for him to work on my car in the future.

Absolutely amazing, super friendly and easy to talk to, great communication alwasy updated me about my car and showed great care into the work they were doing. I saw a great difference from when I handed in my car to when I received it and I was amazed it drove like new, worth every cent of service and not only that but when I picked up my car it was cleaned up looking nice. Definitely my regular and first choice much appreciated.

I would not recommend auto masters to anyoneWe had them quote for a 60,000 service on our car and decided to go with them when we got it serviced we found out their quote only included an oil and filter change and everything else that was required was on top of the initial quote so we decided not to go ahead with the additional work due to exorbitant quite they provided for the additional work and collected the car 4 days later oil light comes on so we take it to another mechanic and find out that they had failed to put the dipstick back in and the car had been blowing and losing oilHad the oil light not have come on we would have been totally unaware as you don’t check your car after a service you have trusted them to do the right thingWhat did the offer to degrease my engine no thank you I am not prepared to have you break my car even further!Bad customer service and incompetent technicians

There was smoke coming from my engine bay, so booked it in to find out what was wrong. There was an oil leak, and CD a laundry list of other problems. Parts were required, not simple in a 20 year old European car. Joe and Cameron kept me fully informed of what was happening with my vehicle, did their best to get the car back to me (earlier than expected, made Christmas a lot easier) and the cost of parts and repairs was very reasonable. I will definitely be a return customer. 100% recommend

I don’t recommend here for backpackers. Friendly enough staff, but they tried to sell me a few services that I don’t feel were for me with my older car on a budget. My main issue though is that a couple of days after visiting this shop, where they’d changed my differential fluid, I found a small puddle under my car. Looking underneath, it was clear that my differential had been dripping for a bit (fluid had been splashed on the underside from the wind while driving). Fortunately, Auto Tune in Geraldton were good enough to check the level and tighten a loose bolt for free. I have had no issues since this but it wasn’t the best start to my trip up the west coast. I don’t think I would have minded them trying to clear out my headlights for $250 if the main service had been ok.
